This isn’t something we charge extra for, as it is part of our process. From the very beginning of projects we are always asking the question, what do you want to be found for? We then work to create a site that will perform well for you for those search queries.
A lot has been written lately about Google updates effecting search engine results. Panicked website owners have been forced to shift strategies as their sites have dropped considerably in Google, or in some case dropped out of the index completely. Our clients have not seen this drop-off, in fact our sites have benefited from the Google updates.
Our strategy for search engine optimization is to create the best site we can with quality content. We then encourage clients to add consistent, quality content and help facilitate that with our website management support plans. Google is trying to provide people the most accurate search results. So a site which is built to try and beat the algorithm tends to be a poor site. No matter what a (spamming) SEO company may say, they cannot reverse engineer Google. We follow Google Webmaster guidelines, and this is one of the guiding principles that comes directly on their “Google-friendly sites” page.
“Give visitors the information they’re looking for: Provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do. If your pages contain useful information, their content will attract many visitors and entice webmasters to link to your site. In creating a helpful, information-rich site, write pages that clearly and accurately describe your topic. Think about the words users would type to find your pages and include those words on your site.”
We follow this common sense advise from Google, and it works well for our clients. So whether you are considering building a site, or want help with optimizing your existing sites, please contact RooSites, we are happy to assist.
